Love 146 is getting some sweet lotto winnings!

True North Church of Port Jefferson, NY  had a member donate a lotto ticket worth $3million dollars.  True North is getting the full amount of ticket from the donor (who is remaining anonymous), and has opted to take the yearly amount.  True North is already a strong supporter of us and has pledged to donate some of their yearly winnings to us.  What is sweeter than lotto money you ask... nothing I say.  Who knew a game called  "Ba Da Bling" could do so much good?  So... thank you to True North... we love you guys,  and thank you to ANONYMOUS DONOR... we love you too.

Here are some news links to the story...

That is beautiful that someone would slelfessly use all their money they receive to a bunch of causes in order to be used for God's purposes!!! I think the anonymous part is something important, since we are supposed to give in secret and cheerfully.

side note:
I really wish that your causes on facebook and myspace would have an option to be anonymous when you donate through it as well. It helps to give through your site, but for fundraisers through other sites it automatically puts it up as if there is a competition.

That is a good thought victoria...
We have some good contacts with both Facebook and Myspace (or FaceSpace as we have grown to lovingly call them). I will see throw in that suggestion to be able to donate anonymously.

So awesome to hear about this, you guys! John Connor announced it in YWAM Denver worship on Friday (right after Michelle saw it on the news) and we were so blessed to hear about it! Blessings and love...

Yeah it's true, I wish that facebook and Myspace made it anonymous. I don't like it when others can see how much I donate, hence why I don't donate that way anymore.

"Do not even let your right hand know what the other is doing" huh ;)

And yes, this is amazing. My pastor (at Frontline Christian Church) told us this news at the beginning of one service. We were all applauding! This is such a huge blessing!
