The New Haven Review

One thing I love most about living in a city is that there always seems to be something left to discover. I had the pleasure of discovering The New Haven Review a couple of months ago and was so honored when they asked me to submit some work based on Love146.
Wanting to abolish child sex slavery is easy, talking about it, putting it in print, and/or showing work on it can be difficult. I am so grateful to everyone at the New Haven Review for being willing to add these photos and this story.

NYC Event Update.

Into the Light went so well. The space was filled to capacity with people who were excited about Love146 and Baume and Mercier's connection to photography and support of restoration.
Lots of people, lots of great connection and conversation, and lots of yummy auction items.
A big thank you to: Baume and Mercier, and  Carolyn Cole  for partnering to abolition child sex slavery and exploitation.

Co-Founder Coolness

Ok, while Rob and I (the other co-founders) work in an office, Lamont gets to go out and rock the world. I wanted to give you guys a taste of his new album Jubilee. Most of the songs were inspired by the slavery and suffering that Lamont has seen but also by the hope, joy and fire of abolition.

P.S. the cute guitar player is my husband.

New Haven Register Article

The response to Craigslist's new safety measures has been great. Last week we received calls from press all over the country that followed our Craigslist Campaign and wanted to hear our response to these new measures. One of these papers was our local New Haven Register. An amazing Love146 intern who has faithfully and tirelessly volunteered was able to discuss the future of Craigslist and human trafficking, read the article HERE.
Again, thank you to Soma and all of you that have brought abolition one step closer.

Craigslist News!

Dear Friends,

If you have been involved in Love146, you will remember our Campaign to end trafficking on Craigslist. It has been a long road, and so many of you have been involved. Out of our efforts a coalition was formed to combat human trafficking on the Internet (End Internet Trafficking Coalition: ). We received some good news today. Jim Buckmaster, CEO of Craigslist, has been working with Attorneys General throughout the country, law enforcement, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Craigslist will be working together to fight predators, which includes verifying phone numbers, and charging the "erotic services" category. 100% of profits from this will be contributed to charity. An external accounting firm will be retained to track the details. Craigslist will not profit from this. For more info. visit Craigslist blog at:
Thank you for taking action!
Together we made a difference.
Be Proud.
Keep Fighting.
